Here Is my list for the best sports in the whole world.
5. Ultimate Frisbee
This is a game where a regulation size 175 gram frisbee is used on a field that is 70 by 40 yards and has an end-zone that is 25 yards deep. The goal of the game is to get the frisbee to the end-zone alive. A frisbee is alive as long as it does not touch the ground or get caught out of bounds. When the frisbee is caught the player is only allowed to take a few steps before throwing the frisbee. When a defender is guarding the player with the frisbee he is allowed to start a five-second count. If the player does not throw the frisbee before the count is over, the player must give the frisbee to the other team. If at any time the frisbee hits the ground or is caught by a player that is out of bounds, the other team will have possession. The game ends once a certain score is reached or time runs out. The game is usually informal but is played internationally as well.
4. Dodgeball
This is a game where (contrary to popular opinion) you try to dodge balls! There are many different rules for the different circuits that exist but the basic premise remains the same- dodge them balls! The game starts* with both teams standing on their respective ends of the court with all of the dodgeballs on the half-court line.
When the game starts, all of the players will try to reach the balls first. At this time you may not get out by ball contact because- well that would just be cheap, but once the teams are settled, the game will begin. When a player either steps out of bounds or gets hit with a ball, he is out. A player can also get out by throwing a ball that the other team catches. If a ball is thrown at an opponent that is holding a ball and the (thrown)ball is deflected off of the (held)ball, the player is not out, BUT if the (held)ball is dropped, the player IS out. When a ball is caught, the player that threw the ball is out and a player from the team that caught the ball is allowed back in. A team wins when all of the players on the other team are out.
*sometimes the teams are given an equal amount of balls to start the game
** There are tones of different rules based on who you play with. For example, some people prefer to play what I like to call "Weaksauce Dodgeball" where if a player is hit in the head, he is not out.
3. Bass fishing.
yes it is
Bass fishing is absolutely a sport that is played nationally. There are many tournaments and series that comprise the world of bass fishing; one of the most popular is the Bassmaster Classic. Bass fishing is a highly competitive and lucrative business that is run all through the year in different parts of North America. It is a sport that is much like regular fishing, but it is much more serious. Pro bass fishermen are out on the water all day using many different lures, rods, and line to try to catch as many big fish as they can- as fast as they can. It isn't really my type of fishing so I didn't make it number one (making fishing number one would not be fair).
In tournaments, you win by catching the heaviest fish (in pounds) and bringing them back to the scales alive and well.
2. Basketball.
Yeah, basketball is pretty great. I already told you all the rules, so now I will tell you why it is so great. Basketball is a very unique game that is played all around the world. The reason I like basketball is because it has a vast amount of components that you wouldn't expect from a game as simple as "Get the ball in the hoop." Every position has different aspects and techniques to it. As a shooting guard, you patrol the edges of the three point line while looking to get the ball with an open look for a shot. As a point guard, you bring the ball up the court and call the play for the rest of the team. As a forward, you try to get the ball down under the hoop with a good angle to shoot over the defender. On the defensive end you need to either guard your man (man defense) or guard whomever is in your zone (zone defense).
Honorable Mentions: "Because they just didn't make it"~myself 2014 (autographs will be six hunnit an fiddy dollas)
Trying to trow my dirty socks into my hamper from the bed. Trying to see how many cookies I can eat without getting caught (could be substituted by chips or spoonfulls of honey). And finally, trying to predict the results of games. The reason it is fun is because most of the time I fail.
1. (Surprise Surprise) FOOTBALL
The best game on earth has the most simple premise- make ball go that way. The game of football is so great because it requires a great deal of athleticism and strength while also requiring a lot of quick thinking and tough decision making ability. The game is very complicated to people who don't get it, but it is the most fun game that I can think of. There is a broad array of positions on either side of the ball. I specialize in the "Corner" on defense. This is the position that covers short passes and sweeps (when the ball carrier runs to the sideline to try to get around the defense). It also is a position that supports the linebacker and end and could fill in for either one if the play gets out of hand. On offense almost every player is supposed to block, so yeah.
Now you have a little taste of what I do-
Pretty dang exciting.
