We Did It!

All the people who joined the pickem challenge have already proven that they are bigger winners than the rest of the people who work at Chick fil A. Unfortunately not all people are as awesome as others. Here be ye standings!

CFA league

#1   5-1 Josiah-boy-  He lost his first game yesterday after starting off 5-0
5-1 Erika-   Probably copied off of Josiah's sheet, but that's okay when you are 5-1
#3  4-2 Ben- My infallible wisdom has only failed twice!
4-2 Spencer- doing very well so far despite his inexperience.
#5  3-3 Grant Wilson- despite using an unorthodox pick-the-team-with-the-most-wins method, he finds himself with an even record.
3-3 Kage- used a crayon to make his picks. He is my favorite....
#7  2-4 TOMMY! Filled out his sheet by circling the left half of the paper and drawing a stegosaurus. Also presented a tiebreaker of 1468
2-4 Kierra-  made her decisions based on gut reaction. This of course means that she will come back and win!

Family!
#1  5-1   Matt-  Living on top after only missing one game
5-1   Mom- Lost her first game yesterday
#3  4-2   Ben- still only lost two!
4-2   Dad- surviving some risky picks to make it to four wins
#5  3-3   Brett- made his picks with a coin
3-3   Beth- made her picks by picking opposite of Brett
3-3   Kelsey- always just does well enough to beat me at these things
#8  1-5   Brianne- always does poorly enough to lose to me

One True Champion...

The harvest is many, but the workers are few...

By that I am not referring to the Kingdom of Heaven, I instead speak of the number of participants in the Bowl Pickem Challenge 2015-16 from my homies at Chick-fil-A. The showing is looking slim, so slim that even if I turned sideways, I wouldn't be able to hide behind it!

There are currently four members of the league that have filled out their sheets and turned them in, Because of this, I will have a hard time coming up for material when I update the blog, and worse, the prize is going to be too fantastic for a five person league!

I am looking at a minimum of $10 for the prize. Of course, the prize will increase as I become richer over the winter break with all of the extra hours I will inevitably be taking on. So to all of those who think that they are not good enough. Lemme tell you a story

Once upon a time, my sister was a helpless mess. She couldn't even pronounce half of the teams, and she was completely unable to make any decisions. I happened to be munchin' on some cookies at the time, so we came up with the best plan ever. I held two cookies- one in each hand- and I listened to her list off the teams. I took a bite out of one cookie for every game that she said and based on which hand I chose, she made her selection. That year she won decisively and took home the bag of candy!

I do say! Believe in yourself! Don't let your dreams be dreams! YOU CAN WIN THIS THING!

Always remember that I will be here to make fun of you along the way....

Take me out to the bowl game!

Its time again for the ultimate test of sports prediction and guessing prowess! The Pickem Challenge rises again!

This year we have a semi respectable slate of participants from all around the globe! I of course mean only people from my family and Chick-fil-A!

In the Family League-

Dad
Mom
The cool one
Beth
Brett
Brianne

In the Extended League-

I get included here too
Uncle Steve
Kelsey
Matt

The Chick-fil-A League

Woah, I must be cool if I am in all of these!
Kage
Spencer
Grant W
Tommy

The time is now if you want to join the best challenge in the world and win crazy good prizes!

Time for a fantastic Christmas post

It's Christmas! This guy got a banjo! This guy will know how to play the banjo by next year's bowl pick'em challenge! lol nope.

Let's start with a good ol Christmas story.

Twas the day before Christmas
And all through the Bahamas
Several Creatures were stirring
Though none of them llamas (wrong country)
The Hilltoppers and Chippewas
Were playing with care
In hopes that the Bahamas bowl victory
Would soon be theirs
At the end of the third
Down by more than thirty-four
Central Michigan was turning it into a bore
Suddenly from the huddle there came a big fuss
Then 80 yards on 10 plays- that sure is a plus
Three and out by the defense
That's reason for cheer
50 yards to go?
no problem my dear
50 yards on five plays in only two minutes
Rush (QB) passed to Davis for the 23 yard finish
Some good Chippewa defense now with 6:16 left
The score deficit seemed none-too-large to heft
Now just two minutes to score two TDs
And two is what they got!

Then they blew it by going for two and failing
The end
- Christmas classic

Ok so the group that seems to care the most is the Independents

#1 8-2 - Derek holds his lead despite his loss in the Bahamas bowl because....
           - ...Josh lost the same game
^ Teirra "Rose" because of her perfect selections (her middle name is Rose [it's a pun {and it's funny}])
#4 7-3 - Ben knew all along who would win both of these games.
           - David knew too I guess.
#6 6-4 v Jerry found a way to lose the Bahamas Bowl.
#7 5-5 ^ Craig jumped up several spots with his perfect day yesterday.
           - Jean stays in the same place due to her Bahamas loss.
           - Amy and Jean must have collaborated. Oh wait, she only picked the team on the left every time. Never mind
#10 4-6 v Ryan dropped both games yesterday, and that allowed...
^ Cole to catch up by snapping his 6 game losing streak
#12 3-7 v Ambyr- she isn't in last place, she is in first AND second place!

Spanish

#1 7-3 v Kiel - Could it be that the reign of terror has ended? She lost both games yesterday.
^ Abbi is on a six-game hot streak.
^ Andrew won both games yesterday to jump into the tri for first
#4 6-4 ^ Gracie came back from a shaky start to win five in a row.
#5 5-5 - Avery split games yesterday
^ But she stays ahead of me because of the ninja she drew at the bottom of her sheet.
           - Megan is still even for some reason.
#8 4-6 v Anna has fallen on rough times, but tomorrow she will have three chances to catch up.
^ Chloe must be in a bad place if she won both games yesterday and only moves up to ninth. The good news is that she is in the same boat as Anna.
#10 3-7 v Beth- I forgot to include her in Spanish up until now.
             - Holly- She probably wishes I hadn't included her this whole time.

Family

#1 8-2 - Brett is a nerd
#2 7-3 - So is Dad
#3 6-4 ^ Christie is here somehow
#4 5-5 ^ Ben is happy
           v Brianne is not
#6 4-6 v Mom is not either. She is only one game ahead of...
#7 3-7 - Beth

D Group

#1 7-3 ^ Matthias regains the lead because...
#2 6-4 v Nathan is on a three game losing streak.
^ Tommy continued on his way by winning the last three
^ Dustin is somehow a game behind first.
#5 5-5 - Bradley
           - Ben- Someday I will be better than Brad.
